Oof, big fat ‘no chance’ from the legs at the start of the first race. Sat up and cruised, was always going to cruise race 2 and will see how I feel later on!
Last one is tempus which should suit me more!
Climbers gambit. Smallish field but mass start.
Had a couple of digs on the early kickers, shed the dead weight.
Hit titans and it started to stretch… Noticed front 4 were all Cat A. Went all in. Got on and breakaway!!!
One cat B sat 15 sec back doing much more work than me. Then a bigger group 25 sec further back.
Hit the epic and tried to stay with the As to the bridge. Just about made it. Gap at 45. Mint.
Not much changed other than losing 10 sec on one descent. Then the lightweight started to close…rapidly.
Halved the gap in under a km
2k to go he was letting me dangle.
Kept working but backed off a bit.
1k he’s sat on.
Decided to hold position, few extra metres to catch an attack.
Still together as we hit the flat top. Couple of feint digs and I accidentally countered, he came over the top and needed a big effort to close the gap.
Caught him with 100 to go… Think he was dead too.

Woohoo, 15 point gain on the last race, hung around near the front but was a bit slow on the final burst but only 2 seconds off the winner.
Slightly improved as I got going but tired now.
Do we need to register a team? Think @mw22 did most of the heavily lifting last season, with organising. Happy to help out if someone can point me in the right direction.

For those who enjoy team time trials (Slowtwitchers) there is now a start pen for TTTs.
TTT can be registered dead easy. They’ve also (I think) removed the 24hour advance sign on.
With the new rolling starts you can sign up minutes before.
Then just pick your specific start time now to suit.
Jumped onto the KISS 100K endurance ride this morning, supposed to be C, second time on the rollers I was doing 4.5W/KG and rapidly vanishing out of the back as some were well over 7! So much for cat C. Eased up for a while until a smaller group caught up and rolled home with them.

I thought I’d nearly “finished” Zwift. Looks like I’ve got to keep going for another couple of years now ![]()
DCR has announced the Zwift branded turbo, £450, that’s going to ruffle some feathers and it’s compatible with other software.
