Virtual Zwift Rides

I’ve got floor fans.

What fan has he got, the headwind?

I have a Tacx Flux 2 and in just get on and ride mode, I find the speed it shows for the Watts is close to the powertap hub I used to have. But in erg mode whether using zwift or being controlled by the elemnt bolt the speed is much less for similar Watts. Time at effort is what counts.

Just ticked off Muir and the Mountain tonight - quite a nice route as start in a different spot in watopia and dont have the long slog to the start of the epic.

Tried for a few power badges, Mr Spooner prob wants to start worrying about my numbers
Managed to get the Jelly badge- 500Watts for a whole TEN SECONDS. I mean its only a matter of time before I take his Virtual TT crown with that. I only need to hold it for 22 more minutes!

CLS 10 mile TT

On screen timer had me at 22:58
Zwift Power says 23:15 - so 6 seconds faster than last week

340W NP with a 342W 20 minute, so 4.2 w/kg
41 HR average with a 155 max

One of those 35 quid floor fans is more than enough for your basement space!

Good find! I’m really tempted to get one

I was going tomorrow for some stuff for the DIY weekend (taking weekdays off, as I’m broken) so just added it in there :+1:t3:

Not my find, someone else posted it earlier.

Yep. Got it for a bit of a discount, but it’s great and is space efficient compared to big circular fans. I wouldnt have room in my hallway for the big one’s that are cheaper. I also really like the variable intensity.

Overkill. Yes. But I’ve had no other outgoings for nearly 2 months!

I’ve got that fan… its hard to turn off, as you can’t get within 6 feet of the flipping thing if you’ve got any loose clothing on…

Sounds like you need to put that on the reviews :+1:t3:

50% of them are exercise based

This is what I’ve got. makes it hard to watch anything though as you can’t hear

Zwift Power has moved you up to Cat A… no more racing Cat B or you’ll be DQ’ed in Zwift Power

Well done :+1:

Reviews said it was quiet?

Now I have your fan, so can I have your power numbers, too?:rofl:

Does it basically bump you up as soon as you hit over 4.2 for 20 minutes in three races?

The TrainerRoad folks are all about these “air movers”. When my Argos gym fan packs in (it’s smelling a bit fluxy these days at max setting) then I’ve my eye on one or two of these:

Much cheaper than a Headwind,
