Virtual Zwift Rides

Same in Triathlon I suppose; but I always aged up before the season started.

Doesn’t look too bad from this angle

Tried the flat race again tonight, start was ridiculous for the first K, then hung around towards the front but effort was pretty high.

With about 3K to go I was in the wrong place when things started getting stretched out and I’d left it too late so a half-arsed sprint and no points.

Might have another go later in the week.

@Tom_Austin only just clicked after tonight’s race, mainly as I was already following you on Strava

I had the pleasure of not racing that ladder, looked brutal!! We were never quite sure if you were going to get back on.
Amazing how quick it opened up on that descent.

The game is really struggling with all the riders this month, I think they need to buy some more compute from Azure\AWS! Especially with TDZ and other series.

Had another go at the flat is fast tonight, smaller field though and got a couple of times where all the riders vanished, including twice in the last 2K, not sure how that affects things WRT being in the pack for draft.

Anyway, found myself a bit too far back and although I made up some places it wasn’t enough to get any points.

If everyone vanishes that’s normally a problem with your internet connection not the game

Agree with Rob, local internet drop.
You’ll lose the draft… Have to ramp up the power to try and blindly hold position.

I did have zwift crash 1 min before the banner drop in a TdZ ride recently. Which I don’t think is that isolated.

You can look in your logfiles to see…

Yeah, I don’t think the connection in the garage helps but it’s usually very reliable and only fails like this when there’s a lot of riders, but it’s probably trying to send a lot more data.

I only use an iPad, Jim so doubt that’ll work?

Probably need to reboot the routers as well, we pay enough for the connection to VM

Another bash at the Tiny races to boost my points.

Race 1 was hard from the off. Ruined my timing and with 400 to go hit the front. Schoolboy error. P25.

Race 2. Same as 2 weeks ago where I went too early.
So I went to early again. Hung on for P6.

Race 3. Wasn’t going to race this one. But… Got carried away. Decent timed and actually kept going to the line. Another P6.

Race 4 started whilst I was still hunched over on the floor :person_shrugging:

101 and 102 points brings me down to 111. Much improved from my free fall in December.

Battered myself on the VTTA 16K TT on tempus fugit for 25th place!

Zero points but a decent workout.

Why would you do that??

I’ve just got spanked again in the ladder race. Barely survived the start. Max 1+ minute effort.

Why would you do that? :joy:

I prefer a TT, although the winner put out 5W/KG! And they’re better training for races I do

Did zwiftpower drop the stat that shows how close a rider is to another category?

Kinda - just links you to zwift now to see extended range of stats; which doesn’t help as there’s some real oddities of what category some people are/should be (present company excluded @jorgan  )

So the old 20 min power is long dead.

The new zwift racing score is likely imminent for public testing.

Sandbagging B’s need to be aware :joy:

Is there a way to view another user’s stats? I’ve clicked on some people that I follow but it doesn’t show their stats.

Hidden?

Also doesn’t help that WTRL and ZP use diff cat systems. So teams trying to organise riders between cats in the ZRL will have a headache.

Are you thinking a user can hide/show their stats? Yeah I wonder if that’s it, I don’t know the settings. The fitness panel is underneath

If I click any users I follow that panel is not displayed :man_shrugging: I liked it’d on zwiftpower when you could see how close a rider was to moving into the next cat :face_with_monocle:
