I sometimes use virtual shifting in conjunction with normal shifting, particularly on hilly courses where I can downshift on the virtual shifting so I can stay on the big ring when it gets steep. I couldn’t use purely virtual shifting as I find the jump between “gears” too big. It would be nice if it was configurable.
I also wish it was possible to disable braking as I sometimes brake accidentally!
Sounds like Zwift are getting in on the year in review thing now as well but I’ve not had one, although might have switched emails off recently as they were getting annoying.
Decided to see if I can still do the Alpe in under 40 mins… last time I succeeded was December 2022. I managed it in 39:08, passed Emma W on the way up.
She was looking good when I passed. I would have sent a message, however I was over threshold and giving a ride on was about as much as I was capable of. If she was doing a double everest and about to finish the first one, she was looking super strong
Aaaaamd I failed. Could’ve stayed on for another 300m of climbing. But rep 4 was a right slog and power was way down. Wife put 5 mins into me on that one!!
I can’t comprehend how she’s still going. Mentally or physically.
