Virtual Zwift Rides

I sometimes use virtual shifting in conjunction with normal shifting, particularly on hilly courses where I can downshift on the virtual shifting so I can stay on the big ring when it gets steep. I couldn’t use purely virtual shifting as I find the jump between “gears” too big. It would be nice if it was configurable.

I also wish it was possible to disable braking as I sometimes brake accidentally!

Yeah I was considering one as I use a TT bike which is a bit annoying during racing like this week’s ZRL with a steep climb

Seems like you can already do this!

Ha automatic virtual braking is/was annoying! I removed it.

Sounds like Zwift are getting in on the year in review thing now as well but I’ve not had one, although might have switched emails off recently as they were getting annoying.

It’s not all that…

WTF. My ZRS has jumped from 675 to 736 after coming 5/22 and averaging 3.7/kg and scoring 172. How did that happen?!

They reset the scores sometime yesterday

What kind of brutality is this :astonished:

Why do I keep getting ‘Network Error’ in the companion app when I click on Events? Rest of the app works.

ETA - found solution. Updated the App. Seems it affected all Android users.

I got the same last week, as did my OH. Going into “Filters” then hitting “Reset Filters” sorted it out

Decided to see if I can still do the Alpe in under 40 mins… last time I succeeded was December 2022. I managed it in 39:08, passed Emma W on the way up.

Nice

Have you ever TT’d up the real Alpe de Huez? Guess it’s not super far from you?

She’s just about to go thru Everest no.1
Eyes on the double and possibly worlds fastest.

I’m trying to help… She’s dropped me on my second climb :see_no_evil:

She was looking good when I passed. I would have sent a message, however I was over threshold and giving a ride on was about as much as I was capable of. If she was doing a double everest and about to finish the first one, she was looking super strong

Went thru first in 10 hours and 2 minutes.
Gives her a 3 hour buffer for the second… Tho that could easily blow apart.

I’m hanging on for a half :grimacing:

Aaaaamd I failed. Could’ve stayed on for another 300m of climbing. But rep 4 was a right slog and power was way down. Wife put 5 mins into me on that one!!
I can’t comprehend how she’s still going. Mentally or physically.
