Dilemma for me: my turbo bike is actually my son’s bike and he started riding it again outside most days, which I am delighted about. So for the turbo I planned to put my tarmac SL6 on there, but failed to think it through…
Need a XDR freehub £50

Not sure it is worth the money to ride inside on my tarmac. The alternative is to stick my 1x 650b gravel GRX bike on it. I am guessing that will work, but just look and feel a little odd.

in a similar vein my Canyon doesn’t fit as it has a flush skewer that won’t fit on the clamp of the turbo. So i’m currently missing out on those top up rides in the week when my wife is out and the girls are bed etc.
I’m sure i got a spare skewer with the turbo, but i don’t know where it is, or if it will fit or not. I also don’t like the thought of faffing about with skewers every time i need to put it on or off the turbo. It’s just an opening for me to do something silly like forget to tighten it enough before i go out on the road!!
Can’t you leave your old bike on the turbo? I have an old back wheel that I swap in and out, but that might not work with disc brakes?

This one looks identical to the one that came with my Elite turbo and I have an old Campag one for a spare. They work fine in the trainer.

As I understand, we need to be in the pen before 1802. We must stop pedalling at 18:01:45 we pedal again at 1811. I was planning to use Discord to indicate when we start to pedal. When race is ongoing, if anyone is getting dropped use Discord to speak up. First 3 to cross finish line count

Just to mention there is no clock to look at for your team to start. So have a stopwatch/clock ready and when you reach 18:02 start it! Then when it reaches 9min GO! Might be an idea to all go in to the pen at same time…you can then keep an eye on each other for the start. We have someone who gives a warning of 1min, 30sec, 10sec to go so we’re all on it.

Yes, you need to be in the pen before the banner drops. They utilise a normal race mode in zwift to run the TTT’s, and you can’t join a race after it’s started, even if for the TTT your “start time” isn’t until some time later.
You can hit A to take you to the pairing screen and carry on staying loose if you want. Then just press Esc to get straight back to the game. It can help stop your power meter, etc, going to sleep.
You would need a specific turbo skewer too.
The normal road ones aren’t strong enough.
Also you wouldn’t want to melt or square off that new rear tyre on your Canyon!
I’ve not found that I need a specific turbo one personally but if you can get hold of an old school steel one like the on win my link, they are better than the nano light modern road skewers.
The shape of the skewer seems to be the biggest factor.
