Virtual Zwift Rides

Yes, buff as a sweatband. Looks awesome with male pattern baldness.

PRL half ticked off as part of a race.
Only 122 on the start line and first time I’ve ever got away in the lead group.
What a mistake that was. I really don’t cope with going into the red early.
Lap 1 on the limit
Lap 2 went backwards
Lap 3 started to recover and made some progress
Lap 4 hanging on to a cat c up box hill (I’m cat b?!?) then trying to sandbag in our group of 3 with another cat b before he dropped some 10w/kg bombs with a km to go.
10/13 in cat on zwift power which is pants.
29/122 I think on zwift.
Meh

Uber broke me.
I finished it, but need to go back one day.
PRL full is one of my last 2 to do

It is very tough, at least I found it was. I have 18 left but all the huge ones are done. Concentrating on hoovering up the rest and then getting that Torn bike. I haven’t done the Volcano x 25 yet.

Ha. In my head I look like Roger Federer.

In reality I’m still a sweaty mess

I was fatigued going into the uber, so once I hit the alp it was game over.
Volcano was mentally tough, once I got riding with someone else everything got faster and easier.

Mega Pretzel for me, well, the first 40 miles of it, legs weren’t really feeling it, head definitely wasn’t feeling it, binned it!

I did a B cat Pretzel race. Shocked myself being in the lead group of A’s but of course they were just rolling to the KOM.

Watched all the riders around me go 5w/kg + and went backwards. Reached top of Radio Tower in 47th.

Race was completely blown apart so it was fun; picked off a few then gradually we formed a group and taking pulls each we reeled in a few more.

Reached 2nd KOM climb with a group of 7; that group also blew on the climb I ended up around the middle of them.

Picked one more off on the final flat 5 miles to finish 31st o/a, 6th B with a 200 TSS ride at just under 3.5w/kg in 2hrs 13mins.

Interesting, fan from behind?

Done. On my warm down now. Pleased to sneak under 5:30, and really pleased with my final climb.

Garmin is telling me I burnt 3150 calories. Beer!!!

Was looking at the numbers at the end of Crit City race B cat just now: the guy who won put out 410W for 20 minutes, which was 3.8w/kg. That means he weighs 108kg, which is 40kg more than me! No wonder the dude can produce some power, he must be built like Giant Haystacks.

Thighs like that German track sprinter perhaps?

More like Xenia Onatopp , the James Bond thigh crusher villain

He may have finished 47 places in front, but I consoled myself that he probably hadn’t already run 18km this morning :grinning:

Ticked off the NY Bagel course and picked up the green cardigan on the way. Only got about 3 on that miserable course left now, might do one later on.

Took about 70 minutes.

Just cleared 10 laps of volcano, nice easy 27 miles in the legs

I just have the 6 train left on NY. Fuck that course, never going back to it once done.

Should only be about 20 more minutes then.

Nice one. I was thinking of doing it myself, I presume you just pick the volcano course and it keeps sending you round in circles?

How long did it take, just over an hour?

After the Uber Pretzel yesterday, today was a 1 hour ride with the kids outside (I know, it doesn’t count), then back home to tick off:

  1. Richmond 2015 UCI Course
  2. Richmond Cobbled Climbs
  3. NYC Grand Central Circuit

NYC is so boring. I may set trainer difficulty to 10% to get through those courses, and just watch movies. Treat it a bit like Ironman base training at 68% intensity, or similar. Because there is literally no redeeming characteristic to NYC in Zwift.
